Adding an artist as a category might not be the best of ideas. If you really want to, then add a cateogry under Music called Artists, and then one under that.

Yes, lossless is fine, though I'd recommend you upload MP3s if you want the majority of people to be able to listen to it (the Open Source Audio crowd is not as familiar with lossless encoding formats as the LMA community).

Well... the system isn't very smart right now. What'll happen is the ZIP file will contain both. Open Source Audio pages are cool though, because there is a list of all downloadable tracks right on the details page. Also, the streaming option will work (it'll exclude the SHNs or FLACs).

So in short: do whatever you feel like doing. Very few people will bother with the lossless files, but you can have them up there for archival purposes if you like.

Erich, is this Id, Petroglyph, etc. that you're talking about? I downloaded mp3 copies when I first got into Tim/trading, but I haven't been able to get SHN since the ftp went down. If that's what you end up uploading, please consider uploading the lossless files. Thanks.

Steven

The Open Source side is pretty versatile...quite a few things you can do. Looking forward to hearing what you're planning on uploading.
